Equity Transformation Framework

  • Equity Audit

    Using a culmination of listening sessions, observations, and document reviews, I determine areas of improvement that can support with the retention of Black staff.

  • Executive Summary

    I compile information from the audit into a report, which provides recommendations on how to increase retention and attraction within schools. This focuses on training, strategic planning, and progress monitoring.

  • Training and Development

    Using the strategic plan, we focus on building the capacity of mid-level leaders who have the most touchpoints with staff, in order to transform school into an equitable and just space.

Culturally Responsive Mentoring

One of the primary reasons Black teachers struggle is because of lack of culturally responsive mentorship. Mentors are not selected based on cultural competency, true investment in the success of the Black teacher, or even the skills to push them to reach their highest potential. Our team understands that mentorship may be difficult to prioritize due to a lack of staffing prepared or available to do so and so we have offered this for schools as well as educational preparation programs. We transform early career teachers, who are Black, to have to support they need to deliver high-quality instruction and deep connections with their students and communities.

S.T.A.N.D Leadership Program for Black Women

This program empowers Black Leaders to S.T.A.N.D in their purpose and power, so they can transform their schools into more equitable spaces for the school community. S.T.AN.D is an acronym that takes leaders through a program that transforms themselves and their schools by

  • Sustaining Self

  • Authentically Leading

  • N’Ovating and Influencing

  • Developing Self

By going through this 1 year program, Black women leaders gain the support they need to lead effectively, authentically, and make cultural and academic impact.
